Last summer I went with Conny and Markus on a trip to Southern California. We visited the very hot Death Valley and went on to Los Angeles were we visited my own star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. Conny and Markus were very impressed…
In the morning, Kermit was very excited.
As we entered the desert, Kermit wanted to sit
of one of these Joshua Trees.
We visited Rhyolit, a ghost town in the Mojave Dessert.
Kermit was fascinated to see the ruins there.
We continued our drive …
… and entered the Death Valley National Park.
Kermit loved the landscape and all the interesting
things in the dessert.
Kermit relaxed in the sun.
Shortly after we left the Death Valley, we crossed
the border to Nevada.
We were still in the dessert and it was very, very hot.
Kermit was quite thirsty.
The streets there are not very crowded, so
we let Kermit drive some miles.
He really enjoyed the driving.
After a long drive, we finally arrived at our hotel.
Kermit could not wait to call Ms. Piggy …
… to tell her, what he had done during the day.
Thereafter, he watched TV …
… and relaxed a bit.
In the next morning, we woke up early …
… and continued our drive to Los Angeles.
Our first stop there was the famous Hollwood Sign.
Then, we walked to the Walk of Fame, where we searched
for Kermits own star.
Kermit was more than happy, as we found his star.
He was totally overwhelmed.
In the evening, we went to Venice Beach …
… to see a wonderful sunset.
Watching the sunset was great.
We really enjoyed our trip.

I so enjoyed the journey through Death Valley and Los Angeles. I have never been there, nor the Joshua Tree, either. That must have been awsome! Katherine

As a SoCal resident, I loved the photos. I hope Kermit got enough to drink in Death Valley. When Volker and Marion and I were there in 2003, it reached 109 degrees F!
