Kermit in Sydney (part 2)

In the second part of our Sydney story you can see photos of our visit at the zoo, where we met koalas, kangaroos and a cockatoo. Also we spent some time cruising on the water again.

On the next day, the weather was much better. We took a ferry to the Taronga Zoo and started our day at the harbor.

After a couple of minutes we arrived at Taronga Zoo. We have never seen koalas before, so we really looked forward to it. It did not take a long time before we saw the first one.

"Hi, how ya doin?"“Hi, how ya doin?”
"Waaaahhhh!!! Relax!"“Waaaahhhh!!! Relax!”

Well, my first encounter with a koala was not that good. I guess she just did not like me. A ranger told me later that the koala was about to take a nap. That explains why she was not that happy when I approached her.

Then we went on to the kangaroos.Then we went on to the kangaroos.

"Aww, she likes me!"“Aww, she likes me!”
"Don't jump, doooon't jump!!"“Don’t jump, doooon’t jump!!”

The kangaroos and I had a lot of fun and I though that I should try to see my koala friend again. Maybe she is in a better mood now.

Then we went on to the birds section and there was a big surprise. I could not believe that I met a very good, old friend, who I did not see for years…

"Unbelievable that we met here."“Unbelievable that we met here.”

"It's time to go my friend. Let's keep in touch."“It’s time to go my friend. Let’s keep in touch.”

On the way back to the city, we took the ferry again.On the way back to the city, we took the ferry again.

That was great day! But we were also sad, as it was one of our last days in Australia. On the very last day, we decided to take a ferry to Watsons Bay to spend some time on the ocean.

We had an awesome time in Australia. While Conny stayed for a couple of months, Markus and I flew back to Germany. But there is much more to see in Australia and we will be back! :-)
